Selena Gomez - an international singer and actress - is a household name. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place was one of her most well-known productions. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Selena Marie Gomez was born the city of Grand Prairie, Texas on the 22nd in 1992. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Selena's mother, Amanda Cornett, was just 16 years old when Selena was conceived. The year 2009 was when Selena was cast in her first film in show business as Gianna as Barney and her Friends. This was when she became one of the children who performed with the most well-known anthropomorphic purple dinosaur in history. Selena was a part of the cast for a number of seasons of season 7 and 8 from 2001 to 2003. It's a great fact that Selena was not the only singer who worked in Barney and the Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato also was part of the cast of the show. Selena Gomez left the show and was auditioned for a variety of different films and shows however, she did not achieve much results. Her role was only a tiny one in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) and a different one as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. She also was given the role of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2006 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
